Who are We?
AMEN Interior Fashion, labeled as the 'Material Masters' by Bona Magazine in 2015 and recognized as 'Fashion Royalty' by The Times Newspaper in 2013, is a contemporary unisex brand based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Founded in 2014 by designers Abiah Mahlase and Bradley Muttitt, AMEN breaks design boundaries in the local fashion and textile industry. Specializing in bold, fun, and fearless statement pieces, our versatile design ethos merges traditional methods and new techniques to create exaggerated shapes in daring prints, celebrating African heritage.
Our clientele, collectors of style stories and experiences, are connoisseurs seeking the curation of fashion elements that explore contemporary African identities. We go beyond mere dressing, embracing an 'So be it' attitude and often tapping into androgyny, reflecting a journey of sharing between Africa and the world.
The creative duo behind AMEN, Abiah Mahlase and Bradley Muttitt, are accomplished individuals with diverse achievements in the fashion industry. Abiah gained notoriety in local fashion through South Africa's first reality show, Cream Cartel, while Bradley's career blossomed as a national merchandiser for renowned brands. Winners of South Africa's biggest design reality show, 'Win a Home,' they have also received accolades for award-winning installations and judged exhibitions at DECOREX. With vast experience in fashion retail, design, lecturing, merchandising, styling, and women empowerment projects, AMEN Interior Fashion continues to elevate its brand, showcasing at various fashion week platforms in Africa.
